Naga Shaurya’s Chalo movie is promised to be comedy entertainer from its promos and trailer. The debut director Venky Kudumula executed comedy scenes very well. Naga Shaurya looks confident on the script before its release and it become true this movie must satisfy audience.


Hari (Naga Shourya) is a young guy who has habbit of encourage fights and finds joy in it. He went to a village Tiruppuram that is located in Andhra-Tamilanadu border. There are conflicts between Telugu and Tamil people because of local issues. Hari's parents send him to that village because he frustrated with fights and stop fun in them. However, Hari falls in love with Karthika (Rashmika) who is a Tamilian. The remaining story is how he convinced her father and how he solved issue between the villagers. Lets see.


Naga Shaurya keeps it simple and gives natural performance like a common guy rather than hero. He looks very stylish and handsome in the movie. Rashmika played female role in the movie and she did her job well on her debut Telugu movie. Satya played Naga Shaurya friend role and he is very funny. In recent times, Vennela Kishore dominating in comedy scenes and he did it in the movie. Posani, Raghubabu and Naresh are other main cast who made their presence felt in the movie. Praveen, Viva Harsha and Sudarshan played supported roles well in some comedy scenes.

Technical aspects:

Director Venky Kudumula chose a simple and good concept for a debut film. Main strength of the movie is comedy. Director succeeded to entertain audience in comedy scenes at regular intervels. A few scenes expose his lack of experience in direction.

Music by Mahati is just average. Cinematography is good. Dialogues are good to here. Editing is fine. Production values are impressive. The film doesn't look like a low budget film in any frame.

Chalo is a film with full of comedy and funny characters. Director Venky Kudumula write a simple story make it an enjoyable concept. He did well with humor skills.

The interval scene is well executed well and works good. On a whole, the first half of the film is very enjoyable with nice humor and decent songs. Second of the movie has some drags in screenplay. But comedy scenes recover it. Vennela Kishore introduced to movie at the right time and he steals the show with his character and humor.

Leaving drawbacks aside, Chalo is a time pass entertainer with loads of comedy and a decent lead pair. Positive talk may effect its position at box office. Its end result will depend upon how Touch Chesi Chudu fares.


Overall, this is worth watchable movie. Watch and enjoy in your free time. Rating - 3.5/5
